The  tiny is located in my hometown - Revelstoke, BC, canada - on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Sinixt, Ktunaxa, Syilx, and Secwepemc nations.
The home is influenced by PassivHaus principles, oriented to the south with a roof overhang and angle which allows sunlight in during the winter and shades it out during the summer.
Revelstoke is located in a unique interior rainforest ecosystem. As such, rainwater will be the primary water source.
As a deliberate choice to refuse fossil fuels, the entire tiny house is run on electricity and has the possibility of being converted to solar in the future.
The home sits on just four massive screws, minimizing the impact on the soil below.
The composting toilet separates solid and liquid wastes. Solids will be composted in a tumbler for six months after which the soil can be spread around the base of a non-fruit tree, so as not to contaminate soils used for food production.
Once complete, a shower in the wet room will be supplied by the rainwater catchment system.

The staircase has many personalities. It acts as the closet and also the couch. By flapping open a leaf, the couch transforms into a guest bed while also offering ample storage space for outdoor gear, crafting supplies, books.

Multi-functionality and customization are both central components of everything that goes into the tiny.
